The other day I had the opportunity to sit down with a fellow, like-minded business owner in the health and wellness space. Our conversation quickly turned to everything happening in the world right now. Politics aside, it can feel like a heavy, uncertain time. Some days leave you feeling defeated, hopeless, isolated, or just plain overwhelmed.
We found ourselves asking the same question:
How do we keep ourselves mentally, physically, and spiritually strong so we can truly show up for our clients — and just as importantly, for ourselves?
The truth is, we all have off days. We’re human. We’re all capable of carrying stress or negative energy into our interactions, often without realizing the ripple effect it can have. And right now, so many people are navigating that weight in their own quiet ways.
The theme we kept coming back to was simple: do the work.
Whether that looks like prayer, meditation, moving your body, putting down your phone to read, journaling, or any form of intentional self-care — it matters. Now more than ever, these daily practices are what help keep us grounded and aligned. They help us stay on the path of positivity when it would be easier to drift.
And just as important? Staying connected to community. Surrounding yourself with people who are striving for growth, healing, and something bigger than themselves.
I walked away from that conversation feeling recharged. It’s powerful to feel seen, heard, and validated.
If you’re reading this, please know you are not alone. There are others in this community walking alongside you — people who care, who are doing the work, and who believe in showing up better each day.
And that gives me hope.
