New Heights Assisted Living

New Heights Assisted Living Located in Clarkston, New Heights Assisted Living is a 6 bed Adult Foster Care home which provides long term, 24-hour care for the aged.

Our facility offers residency to individuals who are aged, who have dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, along with others who are in need of 24 hour assistance. Nutritious meals and snacks will be provided according to recommended dietary standards, and staff will provide assistance with basic daily living skills as needed. Residents will receive assistance with medications, including administration, acquiring re-fills, monitoring for possible side-effects and keeping a medication log. We have daily activities to stimulate memory, physical and mental strength, and provide interactive daily living where the resident’s will feel comfortable and cared for. In addition, we seek to engage the community in the home as well as opportunities for the residents to engage in local festivities. We work to create a stimulating environment to help our residents continue to grow intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually. Trained staffing will be available at all times to assure our residents safety and that they receive the best care and assistance possible to meet their needs.

We celebrated our manager Wendi’s birthday this week as well as her 5 year anniversary with us! We can’t thank Wendi enough for all she does for the home. From meal planning and shopping, schedule making and event planning, handling the homes daily communications and updates, to making sure all the seniors care plans are to the utmost quality, Wendi wears a lot of hats and does it with ease. Yesterday we celebrated our Midge’s 94th birthday! She is the quickest-witted woman with the brightest can-do attitude at all times and one who loves to stay active and busy! There was no better way to celebrate the day than with Midge’s homemade cinnamon rolls! Every week she would make her cinnamon rolls and fresh baked bread for her children and their teachers while they were growing up, so it was a special day that we were able to partake in her homemade cinnamon rolls with her! And of course where others might be bothered to make their own dessert on their birthday, she was all about it and had so much fun with it! Happy birthday, Midge we love you!
