Dear friends,
After 15 years at Clarkston Family Dental, it’s time for me to begin a new chapter. And just to be clear, this isn’t retirement, and no one is escorting me out of the building.
While I’m transitioning into an office that offers an incredible opportunity at this stage of my career, I can’t hide how bittersweet this is. The familiar faces, the relationships and the memories we’ve shared, are what made this place so special. From the bottom of my heart, I love you all, and I will miss you deeply.

Thank you, Dr. Foster for welcoming me into your practice and trusting me to do my thing. To my patients and families, thank you for trusting me with your care, your smiles and sometimes your fears. It has been an absolute privilege to care for you. To the amazing staff of Clarkston Family Dental. you became my work family. Thank you to my longtime assistants through the years, Linda, Bry, and Cindy, thank you for sharing my passion and being my right hand every day. Thank you to some of the many employees I’ve worked with for so many years, including Tracy, Misty, Annie, and Krista. Thank you to the other staff I’ve met in recent years. You become great friends to me.
And a very special thank you to Heidi the backbone of Clarkston Family Dental, whose dedication made the office what it is today. This isn’t goodbye forever, just a new chapter. I leave with a full heart, deep, gratitude, and memories I’ll carry with me always.
Thank you all for 15 incredible years ❤️

Have you been looking for a new dentist recommendation? I have noticed many people in search on the various community pages. With over 40 years as a dentist, I'd like to offer some personal thoughts as you consider your options.
When it comes to dental care, recommendations are certainly encouraged. It's not just about who charges less, it's about finding someone you trust. At our office, when you're in my care, I take pride in building real relationships with my patients. We get to know you, listen to your concerns, and make sure you always feel comfortable. You're never just another name on a schedule.
We are not part of a big corporate chain. I am on staff of a local private practice where you'll see the same friendly faces each visit, and where every recommendation comes from what's truly best for you- not a sales goal. Great dentistry starts with trust, not transactions.
If you're looking for a dental home where you'll be treated with kindness, respect, and genuine concern for your health, we'd be honored to welcome you. I encourage you to look into our practice and the comments from our many satisfied patients.

Tooth tips for the day:
Dry mouth can lead to difficulty chewing, tasting, speaking, and tooth decay.

Take advantage of your dental benefits before the end of the year.

A little dental history to share-
The use of gold in dentistry dates back to 630 BC.
Novocain wasn’t invented until 1903.

Some dental history to share.

The word dentist originates from the French word “dentiste “ derived from “dent” meaning tooth, and the suffix “iste” that suggests one who specializes in a specific field.

Teeth are the only human body part that cannot heal itself. They are coated in enamel which is not a living tissue.

Some tooth tips of the day:

Be sure to use your dental benefits before the end of the year.

Dry mouth can lead to difficulty chewing, tasting, speaking, and tooth decay.

Be true to your teeth or they'll be false to you.

Choosing a dentist for your care is a big decision. I typically ask our new patients why they selected our office. Their answers varied. Here’s what I learned:
- Some research online reviews before they decide.
- Some come from recommendations of friends and family.
- Some switch to where the office accepts their insurance.
- Some dentists and staff communicate poorly.
- The dentist had a bad chairside manner.

I feel dentistry is a very personal service. You should feel safe and secure. You should trust your dentist.

As your dentist, I want to provide a comfortable, safe environment. My chairside manner appeals to you. I will explain clearly your care and why it’s important. I will answer your questions and concerns to your satisfaction.

I love what I do, and whatever your dental situation is, I will find a solution. If this is what you seek, I’d like to become your dentist. Schedule your appointment with me today at Clarkston Family Dental. 248-624-2424.

Thank you.
