The six-week postpartum checkup isn’t the finish line - it’s just the starting point.

You go to that appointment, get cleared, and everyone acts like your body just magically bounced back.

“When should I get my baby checked?”

As soon as possible.

Your baby’s first year is the most neurologically active time of their entire life. Their brain is forming 1 million neural connections PER SECOND. Their nervous system is learning how to regulate everything: digestion, sleep, immune response, movement, emotional regulation.

But birth (even the “easy” ones) is incredibly physical. The pressure, pulling, twisting, and compression that happens during delivery can create tension and imbalances in your baby’s delicate spine, especially in the upper neck.

This interference can show up as:
-Colic and excessive crying
-Difficulty latching or nursing on one side
-Torticollis (head tilting/preference)
-Reflux and digestive issues

When your little one can't breathe easily, every parent's heart breaks.

Croup is that scary barking cough that often comes with labored breathing, especially at night. While it's typically caused by viral inflammation of the upper airways, here's what many parents don't know: your child's nervous system controls their entire respiratory function.

The nerves that innervate your lungs, diaphragm, and airways all originate from specific levels of the spine—particularly the cervical (neck) and thoracic (mid-back) regions. When there's interference in these areas, your child's body can't regulate inflammation, coordinate breathing muscles, or activate their natural healing response as effectively.
