✨ Enrollment Is OPEN — April series: 7 Weeks ✨

Motherhood should not feel lonely.

If you’re a mama craving connection…
If you’re navigating postpartum and wondering, “Is anyone else feeling this way?”
If you want education AND a safe place to belong…

This 7-week series is for you. 🤍

Starting in April, we are gathering a group of mamas walking through similar stages of motherhood — learning together, growing together, and building friendships that last far beyond the newborn days.

At Mama University, you won’t just attend a class.
You’ll find:

🌿 A nurturing, non-judgmental space
📚 Expert-led education on motherhood & development
🤍 Honest conversations about the highs and lows
👶 Mamas with babies in similar stages — so you’re never alone in the milestones

This is your place.
Your people.
Your village.

Let’s grow together over 7 weeks of encouragement, education, and real connection.

Spots are limited — enrollment is now open!

I just love walking into the office and seeing all the babies ready for CPR practice 💙🍼

Today we’re showing these little ones some life-saving love! Infant CPR training is one of the most empowering things you can learn as a parent, grandparent, caregiver, or big sibling. Because protecting our babies is always the goal.

CPR classes are offered right here at Uniquely Yours Lactation Services, taught by our friend and Uniquely Yours team member Adam from EMskillz 🙌🏽 He does an amazing job making the class hands-on, practical, and confidence-building — no boring lectures, just real skills you can use when it matters most.

You’ll leave knowing how to:
✔️ Perform infant CPR
✔️ Respond to choking
✔️ Stay calm in an emergency
✔️ Protect your little one with confidence

Because feeding with confidence is important… but protecting with skills is powerful 💕

The US Office on Women’s Health highlights Black celebrity moms who breastfeed for a reason.

Because representation changes norms.

When people see breastfeeding modeled by women who look like them
it stops feeling rare
it stops feeling questionable
it starts feeling possible.

For generations, Black women have faced
less support
more scrutiny
and fewer visible examples of breastfeeding being protected and celebrated.

So when public figures like Serena Williams, Beyoncé, Gabrielle Union, and Keke Palmer share their breastfeeding journeys
they aren’t oversharing.
They’re shifting the narrative.
They’re showing that breastfeeding belongs everywhere
in every body
in every community.
Normalize it by showing it.

Visibility is support
and support changes outcomes 🤱

🤱 Drop this if you breastfed longer than anyone expected you to
or longer than you expected
Your story matters.

A great question from a Mama💛🫶🏽 Thought I would share🥰

Mama: How many weeks along can you accurately be sized for fl**ges? Will the size change after you give birth?

Me: It’s a little loaded and depends on when you plan to start pumping.

If you’re waiting until after regulation:

You can be sized during pregnancy around 36–37 weeks, when breast and ni**le changes have mostly stabilized.
Your size will change after birth, especially in the first 2–4 weeks as your milk transitions and swelling settles. I always recheck my mamas postpartum to be sure the fit is still comfortable and effective.

If you plan to pump immediately after birth:

It’s best to get sized as soon as possible postpartum, then get re-sized again once you regulate. Prenatal sizing is still an option, but it won’t reflect your true size for the early weeks because swelling can temporarily alter measurements.

If you ever need a fl**ge sizing check, I’m happy to help! 💛🍼🫶🏽

To kick off Black History Month, we at LER honor Dr. Kimarie Bugg — the first African American IBCLC in the United States.

✨Dr. Bugg is Co-Founder and long-time senior leader of Reaching Our Sisters Everywhere (ROSE), a national nonprofit advancing breastfeeding equity.

✨She also serves as Community Engagement Director for Communities and Hospitals Advancing Maternity Practices (CHAMPS), a program supporting hospitals nationwide to achieve Baby-Friendly designation — an evidence-based framework shown to strengthen facility-based breastfeeding support and reduce racial inequities in care.

Thank you, Dr. Bugg, for your unwavering dedication to ensuring all babies have access to the very best start in life — and for paving the way for current and future Black lactation consultants to fulfill their goal of supporting breastfeeding families!
