Congratulations Cheyenne Hearn, Culinary Manager, our Quest for Excellence winner for 2025! We are looking forward to honoring this year's outstanding Quest Winners at the banquet on November 13 at the Marriott in Indianapolis.

Cheyenne joined the Riverview team in August of 2021 and has been in the healthcare field for 10 years. Since joining our team, she has made invaluable
contributions.

Cheyenne has always worked in the food industry but states “I never felt complete.” She loves to help people, so she decided to make the change to the long-term care field to enable her to help in elderly communities.

Cheyenne truly embodies the ASC Care values and shows compassion to all residents every day. Her kitchen runs very smoothly, and she has led the kitchen with pride and high standards; under her leadership, the dietary department has received zero deficiencies. Cheyenne is passionate about ensuring our residents don’t just get good-tasting meals. She makes sure they receive the highest level of nutritional value and encourages healthy eating through her menu.

Cheyenne also sees that fellow employees are shown the love during employee events. She caters for all the events with a smile, always going above and beyond to ensure the food is perfect for everyone.

Cheyenne loves the outdoors and enjoys hiking, camping, fishing and canoeing with her family, which includes four kids and a dog. Cheyenne’s favorite quote is “You will face many defeats in life but never let yourself be defeated.” We celebrate Cheyenne’s winning spirit and congratulate her on this honor.

Congratulations to Karen Heston

Today we gather to celebrate an extraordinary milestone and a truly remarkable person—Karen Heston, our beloved Housekeeping and Laundry Supervisor, who has dedicated 26 years of service to Riverview Village. Karen has been the heart of our community, ensuring that every corner of our home reflects the care, warmth, and pride she puts into her work. Her commitment has gone far beyond the duties of her role—she has created a sense of comfort and dignity for every resident and inspired her team with her steady leadership and compassion.

What has kept Karen here all these years is simple: her love for her staff and her love for the residents. Karen has always believed that Riverview Village is more than a workplace—it’s a family. She has celebrated milestones, shared laughter, offered comfort, and made lasting friendships that have shaped our community in countless ways. Her positive spirit and genuine care have made a difference in the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.

As Karen steps into retirement, we are excited for the new adventures ahead of her. She plans to remodel her home and finally find the time to enjoy her favorite hobbies—something she has more than earned after so many years of devoted service. While we will deeply miss her presence and daily laughter, we celebrate her incredible legacy and wish her all the happiness and fulfillment this next chapter will bring. Congratulations, Karen, on a well-deserved retirement!

Riverview Village hosted our annual Trunk or Treat Tuesday night. Team members along with some of our friendly vendors dressed up their cars and gave candy out to several hundred kids all dressed in their Halloween costumes. We also hosted our Pumpkin Carving contest and boy; we have some good artists and pumpkins to judge. We also had several of our residents join in and dress up and handed candy out to all the kiddos. A huge Thank You goes out to our activities department and staff members who made tonight special for our community.
