E. C. Hurley, DMin, PhD provides approved EMDR basic and advanced trainings both virtually and face-to=face. Dr. Hurley has extensive clinical experiences at medical centers, treating addictions (substance and relationship/sex, chronic pathology at community mental health centers and military units. In the past years he has specialized in treating first-responders and veterans suffering with PTSD.

He is an Approved Consultant with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and Approved Consultant and Approved Trainer with the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA). His work is published in the APA publications, the EMDR Journal of Practice and Research, chapters in books and a book published by the author.

Soldier Center is returning to face-to-face treatment as we expand our development

- We are hiring additional therapists who want to specialize in treating persons wounded with psychological trauma such as PTSD.

- And, we offer a pilot program which provides pro bono treatment specifically to PTSD families, i.e., families with members with PTSD. Family members are treated at the same time without having to talk about what happened. The approach has been researched as being effective for treating groups of people at the same time. We apply the treatment to PTSD families.

- And, we are developing a new branch, the Soldier Center Training Institute to provide basic and advanced training in EMDR therapy. We offer on-going externships in EMDR therapy. Dr. Hurley, the founder, is an approved EMDR trainer and an Approved Supervisor with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. (931) 553-6981

Recent studies indicate 93% of healthcare workers were experiencing stress; 86% reported experiencing anxiety; 77% reported frustration; 76% reported exhaustion and burnout; and 75% said they were overwhelmed.

Now, Soldier Center founder and CEO, E. C. Hurley, PhD, in honor to our first-line medical staff in their care of COVID-19 patients is providing virtual online stress management, and effective treatment for acute stress and PTSD. Services are provided pro bono to first-line medical staff who work in the care of COVID-19 patients beginning the week of February 15.
