Laura Colman, DC

Laura Colman, DC Dr. Laura Colman is a family based chiropractor. She focuses on the holistic health and well being She grew up on a farm and has always had a passion for horses.

Dr. Laura Colman grew up a military brat, attending high school in Warren County, Virginia. Her father is a retired Flight Surgeon and General Practitioner of medicine. She always knew she wanted to help people when she grew up, but was not sure exactly which avenue to focus her passion on. Upon commencement from high school, she attended college at Arizona State University. Here, she studied Humanities and was very active in her sorority, Sigma Delta Tau. She was later compelled to move to University of Pittsburgh. While attending University of Pittsburgh, she was elected Vice President of External Affairs, and later, President of her sorority. She continued her education closer to home at George Mason University. Active still within the thoroughbred breeding and racing world, she was able to incorporate her love for horses and school. Dr. Colman moved to Florida, where she started working for a chiropractor as an assistant. She witnessed life changing events in this chiropractic office time after time. She realized how long reaching and life changing chiropractic care can be. This was when she realized that she should be a chiropractor. She attended Life University in Marietta, GA. During her time in chiropractic school, she realized how important it was to be comfortable and knowledgeable when caring for pregnant women, babies and children. She was inspired to seek out her certification through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. In addition to her strenuous class schedule, being a mother and wife, she added 180 hours of additional education focusing in this special population. Dr. Colman's move to Clarksville, brought on by her husband's Army career, has allowed her to serve the area since July of 2012. While practicing, she has contributed to several peer reviewed research cases. Dr. Colman believes that through research, chiropractic offices can become the first place people go to for help. She is extremely excited to hold space for you at Holistic Health Center in Clarksville, TN. She believes that chiropractic care, delivered in a precise and caring way can be a powerful and life changing catalyst allowing people of all ages to live better, healthier lives. Her favorite quote is from BJ Palmer, on his deathbed. "May God flow from above down His bounteous strengths, courage and understanding to carry on; and may your Innate receive and act on that free flow of wisdom from above down, inside out . . . for you have in your possession a sacred trust. Guard it well."

Muscle tension is often a sign… not the source.
When a horse has restricted movement in a joint, the surrounding muscles work overtime to compensate — which can lead to:

• tight, sore muscles
• uneven movement
• discomfort under saddle
• a change in attitude or willingness

A chiropractic adjustment helps restore proper motion so those muscles can finally relax, rebalance, and function the way they’re designed to. ✨

👉 If you notice stiffness, soreness, or new behavioral changes during rides — their body may be asking for support. We can help.

Birth can place a lot of stress on a baby’s tiny body — especially the neck, spine, and nervous system.

Gentle pediatric chiropractic care is designed to support the body after birth by helping release tension and restore proper movement — all with light, safe adjustments.

Some babies show signs right away, others later. Either way, supporting the nervous system early can make a big difference. 💛

This care is never forceful and is always guided by how the baby responds.

Horses can develop restricted or “stuck” joints from hard work, slips or falls, saddle fit issues, hoof imbalance, or natural asymmetry.

A gentle chiropractic adjustment helps restore normal joint movement — improving flexibility, comfort, and biomechanics. This means:

• smoother & more balanced movement
• better engagement and stride
• reduced tension + fewer compensation patterns
• improved overall comfort and attitude

It’s one of the best ways to support a horse’s performance and their well-being. 💛
