This space began in 2007 when Krista opened Shine Yoga Studio right in this very studio apartment, and she grew the yoga community immensely. She has gone on to do bigger and better things, and has been an amazing friend and mentor throughout this whole journey, from beginning to end.
August of 2021 (4 months before I took over the studio), I interviewed for a job, and when I was asked what my 5 year plan was, I said I wanted to own a yoga studio. Needless to say, I did not get the job. God had bigger things planned for me. Just a few weeks after that interview, the previous owners asked me if I wanted to buy this studio. I was terrified at first. I had just finished my yoga teacher training and had just begun personal training. 2 days after that conversation, God opened up the door for this dream to become a reality.
✨I had a zeal for helping people live their healthiest lives, and still do. I loved that I could meet people where they were at in their fitness journey, and I loved that I could change their perspective on what it means to be and feel healthy and strong on all age levels. I love that this studio was my personal safe haven and oasis, and that it also became just that for so many other people. So many people have laughed, cried, and learned so much in this very space. There is truly a magic that lives in these walls, and I am really sad to let it go.✨
However, I am equally excited for this new journey that God has put me on. Now I get to shine His light in Russellville High School, where there are so many kids that need saving and His love. I get to use everything I have learned in the last 3 years in this job right now. Owning Shine & Thrive has equipped me to teach and coach and hopefully change lives throughout the process.

As we close this chapter, know that the bonds we’ve formed don’t fade—they only evolve. The friendships, the encouragement, and the energy we’ve shared continue to live on in each of us, wherever we go. 🥹🫶
