Mavis Emma Buzzard is a Licensed Professional Counselor who obtained her Masters degree in Counseling and Art Therapy from Wayne State University in 2011.

She has extensive experience in community mental health and clinical private practice in Wayne County and Oakland County. She utilizes an integrative CBT, trauma-informed, existential approach.

Mavis Emma is passionate about the benefits of including creativity in mental health care- as art, writing, and music are central in her own healing journey. She graduated Cum Laude from U of M School of Art and Design.

Mavis Emma’s research contributions have been published in the peer-reviewed journal, Frontiers in Psychology and in the book, Social Work Research Using Arts-Based Methods.

At Maeve Healing Arts she provides in-person and virtual psychotherapy services.

Her office is located at CenterPeace Troy at 2609 Crooks Rd.

Reiki is a light (or no) touch energy healing modality that promotes relaxation, mental clarity, and personal growth.

A reiki share is a gathering for anyone who is interested in practicing their Reiki skills, or curious about experiencing Reiki and its benefits. No prior experience or attunement is required to participate.

Participants will have opportunities to give and/or receive reiki in small groups or pair up with one another.

The entire experience is VERY BEGINNER FRIENDLY!

*This is a donation-based event so please offer what you can. Monetary love offerings are greatly appreciated, but not expected.

Is there any separation to these aspects of self or do they interplay in a dance? Does a shift on one side have a result on the opposite side?
