April is Child Abuse Prevention Month 💙
Every child deserves to feel safe, loved, and supported and we all play a part in making that happen.
Here are a few important things to know:
• Child abuse and neglect affect hundreds of thousands of children each year in the U.S.
• Most often, it happens within the home or by someone the child knows
• Neglect is the most common form
• Support, connection, and community can help prevent it
Signs to watch for:
• Big changes in behavior or mood
• Unexplained injuries
• Fear of certain people or places
• Not having basic needs met
Sometimes, the smallest actions make the biggest difference
checking in on a family, offering a helping hand, or simply listening.
If something doesn’t feel right, trust your instincts and speak up. You could help protect a child.
Let’s work together to create a safe, caring community for all kids 💙
