When you allow a child to figure out how to handle unpleasant emotions by themselves, you're increasing their ability to be flexible.

On any given day, an untold number of young children in elementary schools nationwide have all or part of their recess revoked. A long-standing and common punishment in schools, excluding children from recess is allowed even though the practice flies in the face of considerable research.

The other day I taught a workshop and created a 'beginner's guide' to my resources and podcast. A bit of a roadmap to the foundation of parenting with the science of safety in mind.
