This holiday season, many of us are reminded of home, comfort, and people who make us feel safe.

Last summer, Rebecca arrived in our community after an emergency relocation with almost nothing but uncertainty.

Here, she and her daughter Melissa found kindness, dignity, and the peace of mind they needed.

Stories like this are why the Good Samaritan program exists - quietly working all year long, but especially meaningful during our Angel Tree campaign. 🎄🌼

“I thank God every day for letting me live here. I’m being fed, and I got a roof over my head. I don’t worry about anything. Well…hardly ever.

I was so reluctant at first to share my story. But, why not? It’s just another step in life.

We have given and done for people all our lives. But it’s different when it comes to it given for yourself.

I love the Lord, and I can feel His many blessings surrounding us here. I feel so protected and cared for.”

While the PMMA policy assures privacy to recipients of the Good Samaritan Program, Barbara has allowed us to share her story so others might understand what the program means to residents who depend on it to remain in their homes.
