Dannie Dale Kendrick 78 of Lexington passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at the Lexington V. A. Medical Center. He was born September 21, 1947 in Owsley County to Dale and Ethel Kendrick. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. He is survived by a son Timothy Kendrick, a daughter Talia Brush, seven grandchildren, a brother Tommy Kendrick, and a sister Janie Knapp. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Brenda Crim and Judy Mullins. Family has chosen cremation. There will be a memorial service held at a later date. Grayson Funeral Home is in charge.

Henry Parks JR 32 of Wi******er passed away Tuesday November 11, 2025. He was born February 20, 1993 in Wi******er to Henry Parks and Emily Deaton Parks. He was a employee of the Washington Pen Factory. He is survived by his parents Henry and Emily Parks, three sons Hayden Parks, Greysen Parks (May), Henry Parks III, a daughter Haddie Parks, a brother Dustin Parks, three nephews Braxton Parks, Franklin Parks, Raylynn Parks, a sister in-law Brooke Parks and his grandmother Nancy Adams. Funeral services will be held 2PM Friday, November 14, 2025 at the Grayson Funeral Home Chapel in Clay City with Bro. Jackie Stmper officiating. David Allen Anderson age 73 of Clay City passed away Monday November 3, 2025. He was born in Powell County on March 13, 1952, to the late Everett and Betty Anderson. David enjoyed C**n Hunting and going to all the dog shows and c**n hunts. He was the President for the Montgomery County C**n Hunters Club. He also enjoyed collecting knives. He loved to find a good deal to swap and trade on. He never met a stranger. In addition to his parents David was preceded in death by his wife Fay Anderson, a brother Leonard Anderson, and on sister Joyce Stanhope. He is survived by two brothers John Anderson and Paul Anderson of Mt. Sterling, four sisters Helen (Robert) Mize, Barbara Seale Tipton of Clay City, Patty Knox and Cindy (Bobby), Willoughby of Mt. Sterling and numerous nieces and nephews, on very special nephew Jeff Petitt. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Thursday, November 6, 2025, at the Grayson Funeral Home in Clay City with Bro. Kenny Wasson officiating. Friends may visit Thursday from 11 AM till time of the service. Burial will be in the Patton Cemetery in Clay City. Pallbearers are Christpher Willoughby, Jamie Willoughby, Micheal Anderson, Victor Seale, Jeffrey Flinchum and Wade Anderson, Honorary Pall Bearers are the members of the Montgomery County C**n Hunters Club. Bobby (Chugger) Isaacs 80 of Irvine left his earthly home Tuesday October 21, 2025, at the Irvine Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a long illness. Bobby was a lifetime resident of Estill Co where he was born to Raymond and Mayfra Isaacs. Bobby enjoyed his family, going to numerus churches in the area, he was a board member of the Wagersville community Pentecostal church of God, he also loved hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors. He is survived by two sons Christopher Epperson SR (Cindy), Josh Isaacs (Crystal), one daughter Jessica Jones, the mother of his children Debbie Isaacs, one sister Gwen Hager (David), eight grandchildren Joshua (Chugger JR), Makynley Isaacs, Joslynn Isaacs, Gunner Isaacs, Sarah Carrol (Tyler), Destiny Isaacs, Dimitri Isaacs, Montanna Jones, two great grandchildren Isabella Carrol, Christopher ( Bennie) Epperson III, a very special friend Larry Norton as well as a host of nieces and nephews and friends to morn his passing. He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Mayfra Isaacs, one brother Donnie two sisters Janis Isaacs, Sharlene Napier, one grandson Christopher Epperson JR, his paternal grandparents Lewis and Nancy Isaacs, Maternal grandparents Robert and Alleen Callahan, special brother-in-law Larry Napier. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Saturday, October 25, 2025 at the Grayson Funeral Home in Irvine with Bro. Phillip Smith, Brother David Hagger and Bro. Ronnie Tipton. Rodney Horn 79 of Irvine passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at his residence. He was born October 30, 1945, in Huntington, WV to the late Arnold and Myrtle Horn. He was a construction worker and a Veteran of the United States Army. He is survived by his wife Wanda Horn, a son Kelby Horn (Amy Morris), four daughters Salena Munday (Matthew), Tabatha Nutt (Mike), Michelle Mathers (Jermey), Sandra Cook, Nine grandchildren, several great grandchildren, a brother Merle Horn, three sisters Brenda Norman, Faye Mayse and Gertrude Horn. Rodney was preceded in death by his parents Arnold and Myrtle Horn, a brother Charles “Sonny” Horn and a sister Mary Ellen Jones. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Sunday, October 12, 2025, at the Grayson Funeral Home in Irvine with Bro. Bill White officiating. Friends may visit from 2 PM till time of the service. Burial will follow in the West Irvine Cemetery. Pallbearers are Kelby Horn, Matt Munday, Daniel Munday, Chuck Frogge, Jacob Munday and Clayton Munday. Dwight Douglas Barnett 70 of Clay City, KY husband of Judy Barnett, departed this life on Sunday, September 28, 2025, and entered his heavenly home. He was born on June 9, 1955, in Hamilton, Ohio to the late Earl and Sarah Olinger Barnett, along with two brothers, Perry Barnett and Steve Barnett and one sister, Lisa Powell. Dwight is survived by his loving wife , Judy Barnett; two sons, Aaron (Dana) Stone of Clay City and Shane Stone of Clay City; one daughter Jeanette Lagace of Heath, Ohio and the following grandchildren, Lydia Stone, Olivia Stone, Zoey Stone, Sadie Stone, Leah Stone, Ashley Pelfrey, Dalton Howard, Lance Howard, and Jackson Everman; and one sister, Anita Easter of Estill County, Kentucky. He also leaves behind a host of church family and friends. Arrangements are as follows: Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at the Full Gospel Lighthouse Church in Clay City. 11:00 AM Family Visitation, 12:00 PM Public Visitation Burial to follow in the Powell’s Valley Cemetery. Phyllis Ann Scott Warford, 87 wife of Edward Ray Warford, daughter of the late Nannie Lucas Scott and Syl Scott. Two children, Debra Ann and Michael Ray Warford. One grandchild Ashlynn Rayne Warford, Preceded in death by her parents, Brothers Kenneth, Bill, and Paul Scott, Sisters Marilyn Lyle and Marsha Gail Scott and Marsha Gail Scott. A graduate of Estill Co. High School a member of Powells Valley Baptist Church. Honorary pallbearers are surviving Scott Family, Nieces and nephews Joann Elkins, Shade Allen Miller and Elliot Hale and Powells Valley Church Family. He is survived by his parents Troy and Peggy Henry, two daughters Alissa Henry, Brooklyn Henry, two brothers Steven Henry, and Jeffery Henry, his companion Elizabeth Roberts. James “Floyd” Perkins 88 of Owingsville passed away Monday, September 1, 2025, at his residence. He was born February 6, 1937, in West Liberty to Calvin and Beatrice Perkins. He was a retired Mechanic from Grassy Auto Parts and a member of the Gateway Church of God. He is survived by a daughter Celesta Welch (Allan), a granddaughter Tessia Henson (Nick), two sisters Margret Conley, Maurine Perkins, and a special sister-in-law Joyce McCloud. He was preceded in death by his parents Calvin and Beatrice Perkins, two wives Amy Perkins and Lois Perkins, six brothers Thomas Perkins, Paul Perkins, Robert Perkins, Arthur Perkins, Charlie Perkins, and Orville Perkins. Funeral services will be held 3PM Friday, September 5, 2025, at the Gateway Church of God in Mt. Sterling with Bro. Bush Stevenson officiating. Teresa Shoemaker 65 of Ravenna passed away Monday, September 1, 2025, at the Clark Regional Medical Center in Wi******er. Teresa was born March 25, 1960, to Elmer and Mary Townsend. She is a retired farmer. She is survived by her husband William Grant Shoemaker, three sons Billy Shoemaker (Alicia), Elmer Shoemaker (Kaitlin), James Shoemaker (Brie), a daughter Teresa Tipton (Robbie), thirteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, five brothers Richard Townsend, Ronald Townsend, David Townsend, Jerry Townsend, Larry Townsend, two sisters Frieda Anderson and Debra Berryman. She was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Mary Townsend, a grandson Eric Austin Tipton, two brothers Ernest and Randall Townsend, and two sisters Anna Patrick, and Geraldine Hall. Coleman Covey 78 of Richmond left his home on earth Friday August 8, 2025, at Baptist Health in Richmond. He was born on May 11, 1947, in Middle Town Ohio to the late Almassa and Florence Covey. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in the Korean War and was the Christian faith. He leaves behind one brother Gary Covey, four sisters Diana Frymyer, Mickey Covey, Sherry Covey, Carolyn Covey, and one special niece Bethany Brandenburg. He was preceded in death by his parents Almassa and Florence Covey, three brothers Paul Covey, Leon Covey, Al Covey, two sisters Pamela Brandenburg, Letha Berger. He leaves behind a host of relatives and friends to morn his passing. Funeral service will be held at 1 PM Saturday August 16, 2025at the Grayson Funeral Home Chapel in Irvine. Florence Sparks 84 of Irvine passed away Thursday July 24,2025 at her residence. She was born May 2, 1941, in Beattyville Ky to the late Harlan and Beatrice Handy. She retired from Square D. She leaves behind to cherish her memory one son Ronnie Morris, one daughter Lisa Morris, one brother Farris Handy, two grandchildren Michael Morris, and Austin Morris and two great grandchildren Jayda Pomeroy and Jahseh Morris. She is preceded in death by her parents Harlan and Beatrice Handy, one brother Thomas Cornett, three sisters Rena Griffin, Juanita Burton, Joyce Faulkner. Funeral service will be held at 11AM Monday July 28,2025 at the Grayson Funeral Home Chapel in Irvine. Visitation will be held on Sunday July 27, 2025, from 5 till 7 PM.
