This Women’s History Month, we’re uplifting stories that center women’s voices, honor the depth of our lived experiences, and explore the many layers of identity, power, and becoming 💫📚

Here are a few books we’ve been sitting with:

✨ Validation Is for Parking – Nicole Kalil
A powerful reminder to stop outsourcing your worth and start trusting your own voice.

✨ Rage Becomes Her – Soraya Chemaly
An honest look at women’s anger and what it means, where it comes from, and how it can be a force for change.

✨ Home to Her – Liz Childs Kelly
A journey of reconnecting to the sacred feminine and redefining “home” within yourself.

✨ She Who Wins – Renee Bauer
Encouragement to move with intention, reclaim your power, and define success on your own terms.

These reads speak to the complexity of womanhood—holding space for diverse identities, lived experiences, and the power that comes with owning your story.

Save this for your next read 📌

Black History Month has always been about more than looking back. It’s about honoring resilience, celebrating progress, and continuing the work.

As a Black-owned mental health practice, Healing Spaces was created because access to quality, culturally responsive care has not always been equitable, and in many ways, it still isn’t. We’ve spent years building a place where people feel seen, respected, and supported in their healing.

And we’re proud of that.

But we also know the reality.

Right now, many people are carrying stress, uncertainty, grief, and fear for themselves, for their families, and for the future. At the same time, barriers to mental health care are still very real. Some people don’t have insurance. Some have insurance they can’t use. Some need privacy. Some are navigating financial strain or life transitions that make care feel out of reach.

That’s why our Access Fund exists.

The Access Fund provides reduced-fee therapy and psychological evaluations for individuals and families who otherwise would not be able to receive care. 100% of the money donated goes directly toward client services, helping cover the cost of appointments for those who need additional support.

This Black History Month, if you’ve ever believed in the importance of mental health, equity, or community care, we invite you to be part of that mission.

❤️ Donate if you’re able

💚 Continue supporting Black-owned businesses and organizations doing meaningful work

Every contribution, financial or otherwise, helps someone get closer to healing.

Would you be open to converting your generous one-time gift of into a recurring monthly contribution? Regular support enables us to better focus on our mission.

Black history isn’t only something we honor once a year.
At Healing Spaces, we live it daily.
We represent those that proved the way and those that will follow our foot steps
We honor our ancestors by showing up fully, supporting our community, and creating spaces where healing is possible, not just during Black History Month, but always.
This is Black history.
This is Black healing.
This is Healing Spaces. 🖤

• You’re ready for repair… but not sure how to begin

You don’t have to wait until things are “bad enough.”
Couples therapy can be a space to slow down, understand each other differently, and learn new ways to show up together.

Our couples therapists:
Nicole Murdock, LPC
Anita Santiago, LPC
Tiffany Pargo, LPC
