This past weekend, a few of our incredible volunteers from the Thousand Islands Charity Poker Run proudly attended the 34th Annual Make-A-Wish Central New York Ms. Orange Luncheon — a celebration of strength, support, and service in our community. 💙🍊

From high-speed boats to heartfelt causes, our volunteers continue to show up and make a difference. Thank you for representing the Poker Run spirit with pride and compassion!

🚒 Supporting Our Local Heroes! 🚒

We’re proud to announce that the 1000 Islands Charity Poker Run has donated $8,000 to the Town of Clayton Fire Department! 👨‍🚒🔥

This contribution is a token of our deep appreciation for the dedication and service of the department’s volunteer firefighters, who work tirelessly to protect our annual Poker Run and the community year round. This helps ensure our volunteer firefighters have the tools and training they need to continue protecting us with courage and commitment.

A huge THANK YOU to all the participants, sponsors, and supporters of the Poker Run — your involvement makes this impact possible. Together, we’re making a difference where it matters most. 💙💪

🚤💙 Giving Back Where It Matters Most 💙🚤

We’re proud to announce that the 1000 Islands Charity Poker Run has donated $10,000 to River Hospital’s Post-Traumatic Stress Services program! 🙌

This vital program provides support and healing for active-duty military, veterans, and first responders dealing with the effects of trauma — and we’re honored to contribute to a cause that makes such a powerful impact in our community. 🇺🇸

This donation wouldn’t be possible without YOU — our incredible participants, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters. Every dollar raised, every boat launched, and every hand played helps make a difference.

Thank you for continuing to ride with us for more than just the thrill — but for the mission. ❤️

1000 Islands Charity Poker Run is proud to announce a $10,000 donation for the Alexandria Bay Fire Department’s water rescue fund. Our donation will help them purchase much needed emergency equipment for their volunteer-run Fire / EMS Marine Service. “Fire Boat 3-7-1”, which provides coverage of 84.6 sq miles in the town of Alexandria and includes 11.9 sq miles of the St. Lawrence River and islands. The response territory for their ambulances includes all of the following fire departments’ response areas: Alexandria Bay Fire Department, Plessis Fire Department, and Redwood Fire Department. In addition they provide automatic mutual aid to the Wellesley Island, Hammond, Clayton, and Fishers Landing for water emergencies. Their population off season is only approximately 4,000 and surges to over 25,000 in
the summer season with a staff of just 48 volunteer responders.

We are so happy to support such a worthy cause as these first responders work tirelessly to keep us all safe during our event and all year long.

🎉💙 We Did It – We hit AND EXCEEDED the $1 million dollar mark for Make-a-Wish CNY!💙🎉

We’re excited to share that the 2025 Poker Run raised an astounding $387,300 for Make-a-Wish CNY and brings our historical total to $1,056,300— and it’s all thanks to our 122 incredibly generous sponsors, donors, and all the participants! 🙌

💙 Huge shoutout to our awesome sponsors, participants, first responders, volunteers…and everyone else who helped make this event such a monumental success. Your support means the world to us and will go a long way in helping bring comfort and hope to children facing some of life’s toughest challenges. Thank you for showing up with open hearts. 💙

AND that’s not all…. Our overall fundraising efforts brought in a total of nearly $445k from the event, which allows us to continue to support the River Hospital and its Post-Traumatic Stress Services, providing outpatient behavioral health services for active-duty Fort Drum military personnel, as well as the local communities' First Responders.
