Brooke Kraushaar, Psy.D., LLC Dr. Kraushaar provides forensic psychological examinations of competency to stand trial, sanity, cap Brooke Kraushaar, Psy.D.

is a licensed clinical psychologist who provides forensic psychological evaluations. Her skills and expertise are utilized by both prosecuting and defense attorneys. Her expert opinions are based on a comprehensive clinical interview, extensive review of collateral data, and objective psychological testing using instruments that are peer-reviewed, reliable, and valid. Dr. Kraushaar is well qualified to psychologically evaluate defendants and opposing experts, and, if necessary, deliver an expert opinion in a courtroom environment. She is able to present to judges and juries, and she translates complex psychological data and conclusions into information that is clear and easy-to-understand. Dr. Kraushaar earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Denver. She completed her fellowship at Yale-New Haven Psychiatric Hospital. She obtained her master’s degree in forensic psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Her areas of expertise in the forensic domain include evaluating competence to stand trial, criminal responsibility, diminished capacity, mental state at the time of offense, capacity to waive Miranda, false confession, and mitigating factors at the time of sentencing.
