Back Labor

Back labor can be intense and exhausting.

Often linked to baby’s position, especially when baby is facing the wrong direction.
Comfort measures like movement, hands-and-knees positions, counterpressure, and heat can help.

Back labor is hard - but it’s not a sign your body is failing.

It’s World Doula Week 🤍

And I just want to take a second to say how thankful I am to be doing something I care so deeply about.

As a doula, I get to support families during some of the biggest moments in their lives — with encouragement, education, comfort, and care. It’s such an honor to be trusted in those seasons, and I never take that lightly.

This work means so much to me, and I’m proud to be able to support moms and families in a way that helps them feel more confident, cared for, and not alone.

Cervical Checks

Cervical checks provide information — but not the full picture.

They tell you:
• Dilation
• Effacement
• Baby’s station

They do not tell you:
• How close birth really is
• How well you’re coping
• When baby will arrive

They’re optional - informed consent always matters.

You can independently hire a birth doula who works directly for you and with only your best interests in mind.💪🏽
