We know its a hard thing to say, even imagine. There are KIDS as young as 5 who not only have thoughts to hurt themselves but struggle with thoughts to take their own lives.

Please ask the questions. Do not tip toe or worry about "putting the thoughts into their head".
The questions are direct, you will get a direct answer!

Do you ever have thoughts of wanting to be dead? Go to sleep and not wake up?
Have you ever had thoughts of killing yourself? (If yes) How would you do it? Do you have access to this?
Have you taken any steps to prepare to do this? (A note, giving away items, etc)

Ask the questions it can save a life/lives.

We also recommend downloading the Columbia Protocol app. It can walk you through the questions and steps to help someone who is suicidal. It can help your children, help and save their friends. ❤️💙🩵💚

Its also improtant to know that there is a difference between mental health and mental illness.

We minimize our own struggles and get lost in comparison far too often.
