Our board-certified Pediatricians have specialized training in the diseases and treatment of the newborn, infant, toddler, and adolescent. Our Pediatricians evaluate physical and mental growth throughout development. On July 1st, 2021 w

e celebrated our 58th year in practice! Our goal is to continue to provide your growing children proper advice and treatment for a physically and emotionally happy childhood. We are proud to say there has been limited turnover in our staff over the last 58 years! We staff qualified clinical personnel with extensive pediatric experience to support us in the care of your child. Our staff is available to help with any other concerns involving your child. We are dedicated to providing the parent an environment in which he or she can inquire about health concerns of his or her child.

**ATTENTION- WE WILL BE HAVING AN ECG CLINIC AT OUR CLEARWATER LOCATION. YOU MUST REGISTER WITH THE QR CODE ON THE FLYER TO ATTEND. This event to satisfy the requirement for student athletes for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year!! Beat the rush and avoid last minute scrambling to get it done!!

Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) is the leading cause of death on school campuses – more than any form of cancer, concussion or illness combined. Thousands of seemingly healthy kids die every year due to detectable heart conditions.

That’s why Myrtle Avenue Pediatrics is thrilled to announce that we’ve partnered with Who We Play For to provide our youth the opportunity to get their heart checked with a $20 (with Grant option) electrocardiogram (ECG). The heart screening will take place on Saturday, May 2, 2026 from 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM at Myrtle Avenue Pediatrics.

Every student can sign up for a screening here. If you are unable to pay the $20, please scroll past the payment and donation section. Then select “Needs Financial Assistance.” Answer a few questions and your child will receive the ECG for free. We will never turn away a child!

Why take advantage of this electrocardiogram (ECG) heart screening?
● This screening will satisfy the Second Chance Act law requirement for student-athletes so they can legally play sports in the 2026-2027 school year.
● The standard physical is statistically proven to be less than 4% effective at detecting any heart conditions, adding an ECG improves those odds to 80-95%.
● ECG screening saves lives.
● ECG screening is non-invasive, painless and takes about 5 minutes.
● Each ECG will be interpreted by a pediatric cardiologist or cardiologist specifically trained for the heart of an athlete. Results will be returned via email within one week of the screening.
● An ECG typically costs around $150.
What is Who We Play For (WWPF)?

WWPF represents every young person who lost their life due to a detectable heart condition missed in their physical.

At hundreds of schools across the country, WWPF has screened 400,000+ students and saved the lives of 400+ students, all who had previously undetected life-threatening heart conditions.
