I was brought up as a Methodist until my parents abruptly left the church and religion entirely when I was 12. Christ had already made a big impression on me though, he was the first holy man avatar healer archetype I ever encountered. Jesus has been a spiritual friend all my inner life, especially when things get crazy or someone needs healing, Christ has shown up in my inner worlds to help. A painting of a vision I had of the Cosmic Christ included many little scenes including a detail of the Nativity, which I painted on Christmas eve 21 years ago. To those who are celebrating, Merry Christmas!
