Bette Ann Vanderhoff (née Campbell) passed into the arms of her Savior on the morning of November 28, 2025, at the age of 86, surrounded by the love of family at her home in Wichita, Kansas.

Bette was born on September 14, 1939, in Daytona Beach, Florida to Betty and Alex Campbell.

On May 17, 1957, Bette married the love of her life, Albert William “Bill” Vanderhoff, in Wichita, Kansas. Their union, grounded in love and partnership, marked the start of 57 years spent building a family, a farm, and a life rooted in God and community.

Bette Ann will be remembered for her gentle strength, her steadfast faith, and her extraordinary ability to love others without reservation. She leaves behind a family who will carry her light forward, a church community enriched by her service, and countless friends blessed by her hospitality and kindness.

While our hearts grieve the loss of her presence, we rejoice that she is now at home in heaven.

Bette is survived by daughters Vikki Stone and Terri Curtis; brother Dick Campbell; grandchildren Jenny Dejmal‑Schmidt (Nickolai), David Dejmal (Amber), Rachel Gardner (Mickey), and Ryan Dejmal (Christine); and 12 cherished great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Bill Vanderhoff; son-in-law Bill Stone; granddaughter Laura Dejmal; brothers Fred Campbell, Bob Campbell, and John Campbell; and her sister June Brown.

A celebration of life service will be held Friday December 5, 2025, 10AM at Bethel Life Center; 3777 S Meridian in Wichita, Kansas. The family invites those who knew and loved Bette to join us in honoring her memory through song, fellowship, and the sharing of treasured stories.

Upon graduating from Friends University with a Bachelors in Agriculture, Jack worked for the Agricultural Soil Conservation Service. He then became manager of Quality Coop Oil Company of Clearwater, KS. In 1975 he left there to farm full time. At age 65 he adopted new farming practices and embraced technology well ahead of industry peers. He was truly an innovative and creative farmer! Beyond his passion for farming, Jack was an active member of the Clearwater United Methodist Church and Lion’s Club contributing service to his fellow man in a variety of ways.

Preceded in death by parents, James and Ina (Montz) Bates; siblings, Artis Morris, Arlene Bates, and Jerry Bates.

DR. Ronald L. Lamp passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann, in 2004 and by both of his brothers, Ray and Ross Lamp.
He is survived by 2 sisters: Marita (Terry) Clark of Dixon, MO, and Lynda Lamp of Wichita, KS. Ronald is also survived by his 2 children and their families: David and his wife, Melissa, of Andover, KS and Eric and his wife, Michelle, of Wichita, KS, 8 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

Ronald was born on November 27, 1935 to the late Ralph and Hazel Lamp in Wichita, KS. He grew up working on his family’s farm where he began his life-long love of hunting and shooting competitively. On the farm, he also realized that he had a gift for fixing all things mechanical which eventually led to his interest in working on and racing sports cars. After graduating from Goddard High School, Ronald attended Friends University where he obtained a Business degree in 1957. He began his post-college career working at New England Life Company in Wichita. He met his wife, Ann, on a business trip to Boston where she also worked for New York Life. They developed a long-distance relationship and eventually married in 1961. They expanded their family in 1962 with the birth of their first son, David, and again with a 2nd son, Eric, in 1966.
In 1972, Ronald decided to make a career change and began attending Logan Chiropractic College in St. Louis, MO. While he was in St. Louis, he accepted Jesus Christ as his savior and remained devoted to serving Him throughout his life. After completing his chiropractic degree in 1975, he opened Lamp Chiropractic Clinic in Wichita. Before he retired in 2003, Ronald opened and ran several chiropractic clinics across Colorado and Kansas.

To celebrate Ronald’s life, there will be visitation on Sunday, October 19 from 1-3PM with family present. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 20, at 10AM. both at Webb Shinkle Mortuary 200 S. Tracy Clearwater, KS.

Goddard, Kansas – James John Kerschen, age 91, passed away Monday, September 22, 2025 surrounded by his family.

James was born to Nicholas and Johanna (Geiger) Kerschen on May 12, 1934.
James and Mary Sylvia Ayers were married August 10, 1963 at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Modesto, CA.
James was a retired brick mason and farmer. He was a member of the Secular Franciscan Order (OFS) since 1961, for which he served as minister for many years.

James is preceded in death by his parents, brother Eugene, and brother in-law John Wilhite.

He is survived by: wife Mary Sylvia (Ayers) Kerschen; brother and sisters: Corene Wilhite of Eufaula, OK, Robert (Jeanette) of Cunningham, and Verna (Ken) Papotta of Simi Valley, CA; children, Tom (Karen) of Cunningham, Margaret (Dan) Taylor-Smith of Grove, OK, John (Blanca) of Commerce City, CO, Denise (Joe) Richey of Colwich, Steve (Charo) of Wichita, Rita of Colwich, Niel (Laura) of Andover, David (Tina) of Lee’s Summit, MO, Helene (Dana) Rausch of Shawnee; many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The Rosary/Vigil will be at 5pm, Sunday, September 28 and the Funeral Mass will be at 10:30am, Monday, September 29 BOTH at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Clonmel.
