Brenda and her team collect toys every year! We picked up her barrel yesterday and she called back, someone had donated another bike! I drove over and got it at breakfast time. It was an official Spider-Man bike! By the way, the biscuits & gravy are fantastic!

We had the cutest 7 year old boy, “Declan” come over today, all the way from Tampa, with a big big armload of toys he wanted to give to Operation Toy Soldier. What a wonderful surprise! He put them under our tree and told us he wanted to be in the Coast Guard one day. I took him into our museum and gave him an authentic USMC Good Conduct Medal and a German Helmet from WW11 so he could start his own collection! So nice to meet his mom and other family who came over with him. I bet he makes a wonderful sailor one day! Declan, JoJo, Steve and I really enjoyed meeting you today! Merry Christmas!🎁 🎄

Thank you Laura Sebold Barnes for your support! Laura’s company, Outfront Media donated billboards for us one year and even put our logo on Times Square in NYC so we could see it. TIMES SQUARE! I presented them with a framed 48 star flag for helping military families. This year we sent a U-Haul to MacDillAFB and are supplying toys for our reserve units and Fisher House at Bay Pines. We are having a giveaway next Friday and Saturday at Veterans FuneralCare for military families. Thank you Laura. I’m officially making you an elf!

We are picking up our toy collection barrels this week. Notice the Rumba’s original barrel. It has their logo and Capognas Dugout’s logo on the barrel. They were our first two donation sites. I never dreamed it would grow so big. Now the Dugout has our “new” barrell. Thank you to our friends at Post 7, Benedict’s and Buster Brown for collecting this year. Stay tuned as we will post more pics as the barrels come in, we have about 40 collection sites now. Thanks everyone for helping love on our military families!

Operation Toy Soldier is in full swing! Today MacDill AFB sent a Uhaul truck over and we filled it up! The First Sergeants are posing next to their units flag which hangs in our museum. They also wanted a photo with Navy SEAL Danny Dietz (Lone Survivor book & movie) who lives forever in our museum.
