For our April , we’d like you to meet Dotty!

She has lived at The Barclay for almost 6 years, and she was chosen for the wisdom, warmth, and positivity she brings to our community.

One thing she loves about living at The Barclay is the people. She shares that they are so nice and friendly, and she also feels very safe living here.

If she could give one piece of advice, it would be to live a clean life—no drinking or smoking—and she believes that choice has helped her along the way.

Fun fact: Dotty turned 102 this past December. During World War II, she worked in Washington, D.C. as a librarian at the U.S. Naval Observatory.

Dotty has brought so much life to The Barclay, and we are so lucky to have her!

We enjoyed a beautiful picnic at the South Carolina Botanical Garden! 🌿 We took in the colorful scenery, shared great conversation, and spent a relaxing time together surrounded by nature.

For our April , we would like to recognize Kailey Jo Stewart! She has been with The Barclay for the past eight months and has become a vital part of our community.

Kailey Jo is one of our team members here at The Barclay, serving in both our dining room and as a concierge. She is an extremely hard worker and always goes above and beyond for our residents. In every role she takes on, Kailey consistently brings a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

Her favorite part about working at The Barclay is the relationships she’s built with both residents and teammates.

Fun Fact: Kailey Jo is a Clemson student, majoring in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time on the golf course and relaxing at the beach.
