Most people have binocular vision, with images from both eyes overlapping. If the images do not overlap, it's called monocular vision, which impairs depth perception. Do you have double vision in one (monocular) or both (binocular) eyes? If covering one eye eliminates double-vision, it's monocular diplopia.
