We’re to celebrate Dr. Tania Santiago Perez, Clemson Recreational Therapy alum, and Lori Koplin, for their recent publication in the Therapeutic Recreation Journal! 🙌
Their article, “Pickle Squad: Intervention Protocol for Adolescents and Young Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD),” introduces an innovative pickleball-based therapeutic recreation program designed to build self-determination, motivation, and sport-specific skills among young adults with I/DD. 🎾💪
This work highlights the power of recreation therapy to promote inclusion, confidence, and independence through meaningful leisure participation. 🌟
Congratulations to both authors on advancing the field of Recreational Therapy and inspiring the next generation of practitioners! 👏
