Family Life Counseling Center Family Life Counseling Center provides mental health services, family therapy, marriage counseling.

We guide you in discovering what brings you happiness and will make your life successful. Our owner, Sandi, was previously a social worker who worked with Dept of Children & Families and Dept of Juvenile Justice and decided she wanted to assist with more intensive intervention. She has also worked with Early Steps (early intervention for autism & children with developmental disabilities, 0-3 yrs old) and as a certified high school teacher for ESE & youth with Emotional-Behavioral Disabilities. After realizing the huge need for mental health services, marriages & divorce recovery support in Lake County, FL, Sandi decided to open a private practice to fill that void. FLCC is now in 5 cities across Central FL: Clermont, Tavares, Lakeland, Auburndale, and most recently Orlando. She has since brought on over 45 therapists who specialize in a wealth of knowledge: trauma, addictions, marriage issues, children's behavioral & mental health, sports psychology, to name a few. FLCC is one of the few in Central FL that has therapists specialized in Brainspotting & Safe & Sound Protocol. FLCC is also a contracted vendor to provide school-based therapy, as well as a vendor for the local foster care systems.

We had the privilege to go to the IRNA Conferences, Imago Relational Therapy Conference in Chicago all week. What an honor to meet the Founder and Creator, Harville Hendrix and his wife, Helen of Imago therapy (also his 90th bday!!). Their daughter, Kimberly Miller, provided a very heartfelt memoir of her parents. Thus solidifying the solidarity of this therapeutic modality. I was able to see my original trainer, Rebecca Sears and pay her tribute to the legacy she started in FL and
Continues thru Colleen “Coco” and Kevin Kowal with our couples therapists.

We also had a special training and Q/A panel with the founder and creator of IFS (Internal Family Systems, family sytems IFS Enthusiasts - An Official IFS Institute Community), Dick Schwartz (75yrs old). It was one of those iconic moments of seeing 2 diff modalities blending together on how they can best help people together. It was memorable and life transforming as a therapist and business owner.

Over 18 yrs of experience with children and teenagers. After realizing the huge need for mental health services, marriages & divorce recovery support in Lake County, FL, Sandi decided to open a private practice to fill that void. Since then, Sandi has worked with hundreds of couples with renewing their love for each other and restoring marriages that had been in the process for divorce. Over 12 yrs of experience working with couples and relationships. She has added a team of other therapists who specialize in a wealth of knowledge: addictions, substance abuse, marriage issues, children's behavioral & mental health, sports psychology, to name a few.
