It's International Breastfeeding in Public Day!

Did you know that your right to breastfeed your baby free from discrimination or harassment in all public places is protected under Irish law?

Still, feeding your baby in public and away from the comfort of your own home may seem scary at first - especially in a society where breastfeeding is not the norm and you may have never seen another breastfeeding mother out and about.

Joining a local LLL Meeting can be a great start to get more comfortable - you will come across other parents nursing babies and toddlers of various ages, in a warm and supportive environment, and soon you may realize that breastfeeding in public is much more discreet than people might think and you may pick up some helpful tips from fellow group members.

As we say goodbye to 2025, we are thankful for the privilege of working with many new mommas and babies!

Despite ongoing issues with insurance coverage for lactation, we saw a new record number of clients for BabyFirst Lactation in 2025.
