If left untreated, heartburn and acid reflux can lead to other chronic health conditions such as erosive esophagitis (EE), and non-erosive reflux disease (NERD).

They also share, "As a reminder the Governors Order currently covers:
- Educators, Law Enforcement 50+ and Medically Vulnerable
- Persons under 65 deemed medically vulnerable, by a physician
- K-12 School employees 50 years of age and older;
