As the weather cools down, sensory play doesn’t have to stop! 🌤️

Whether it’s scooping rice indoors or digging into a bin of beans, leaves, or sand outside, sensory bins are a fun way to build fine motor skills, encourage focus, and spark imagination.

Working at the carwash…and on our speech therapy! 🫧

Our SPL, Molly’s car wash–themed session packed in everything from articulation and language to sensory play and social communication… all while keeping kids engaged through bubbles, movement, and imagination!!

Here are the different ways this activity supports growth and development:

Speech: Practicing sounds while “scrubbing” toy cars
Language: Sequencing and storytelling through each car wash step
Sensory: Foam, textures, and movement for calm focus
Communication: Using core words like go, stop, more, and help

The best part? You can try this at home, too! A sink, a few toy cars, and lots of imagination are all you need!!!
