Our residents gathered with big smiles to greet Jazz, Bear, and Riff Raff from Paws for Love, and let’s just say the joy was instant.

It’s always a great day when our friends from Walker Valley Anchor Club come by! Today they spent time with our residents making delicious Biscoff truffles, and the smiles were just as sweet as the treats.

We are so thankful for the time, kindness, and joy these students bring to our Avail family. Moments like these truly make our community feel extra special!

Our artists did it again!

Today we painted a beautiful mountain sunset during our second art tutorial, and WOW — you can already see the improvement! Each brushstroke showed more creativity and personality.

One of the sweetest parts was watching everyone encourage each other and take pride in their work. Art is not about perfection here at Avail, it’s about expression, fun, and trying something new… and our residents are truly shining.

Our Kitchen Director truly showed out today with an incredible cooking demo! She prepared homemade Chicken Chow Mein, crispy cream cheese Rangoons, and a delicious restaurant-style sweet and sour sauce — and it could not have come at a more perfect time as we celebrate Chinese New Year!

Did you know Chinese New Year (also called Lunar New Year) is one of the most important holidays in Chinese culture and lasts about 15 days? Traditional foods are full of meaning — noodles symbolize long life, and sharing a meal together represents unity, prosperity, and good fortune for the year ahead.

Our residents loved watching the cooking process, smelling all the wonderful aromas, and of course tasting every bite! Moments like these are more than just fun activities — they create conversation, cultural learning, and joyful memories around the table.

A huge thank you to our amazing Kitchen Director for always going above and beyond to make experiences special for our Avail family.

Love was truly in the air at Avail! 💝

As part of our Share the Love Project, our wonderful residents spent time putting together Valentine goody bags filled with sweet surprises and thoughtful touches for the students at Valley View Elementary.

Moments like these remind us how special intergenerational connections are — spreading kindness, laughter, and love across generations. Our residents poured their hearts into every single bag, and it was a beautiful way to celebrate the season of love.

We had the SWEETEST Valentine Social at Avail! ❤️

A huge thank you to Lauryn O’Boyle with Hearth Hospice for supplying all the fabulous photo ops that made the day extra special. Our ladies had the BEST time posing for glamorous pictures — and we even convinced a few of our gentlemen to join in the fun!

There was so much laughter, so many smiles, and the kind of moments that truly become treasured memories. That’s what it’s all about.

And we cannot forget to thank our amazing Kitchen Director for creating the most beautiful (and delicious!) charcuterie boards an Activity Director could ever ask for. They were almost too pretty to eat… almost!

Making memories and laughing together — the very best combination.

We are feeling so grateful today!

A HUGE thank you to Cornerstone Caregiving, especially Lindsey McKaig, for hosting and beautifully setting up a flower bar for our flower arranging activity! 🌸🌷🌼

Our residents absolutely loved picking out their blooms, creating their own arrangements, and spending time together in such a joyful, creative space. It was truly a huge hit!

The smiles, the laughter, and the beautiful bouquets say it all. 💕 Thank you for pouring so much care and kindness into our Avail family.
