Dyes are the 4th most common food ingredient listed on food labels (Goodman M.J 2017). Safety concern regarding food coloring includes hyperactivity, allergies, inflammation and increased carcinogen risk. Calendula (Calendula officinalis) Is a powerful herb that is known for many uses, especially for its anti-inflammatory , anti microbial, and skin healing benefits. Calendula may help with skin issues: ulcers, wounds, sunburn, rashes, insect bites. Other uses include gastrointestinal issues, Menstrual support, oral and lymphatic support.

Calendula can be used in topical forms such as salve, ointment, cream and oil infusion.
