Everyone's feed was colored green yesterday for St. Patrick's Day. But yesterday was a much more important day, and one that is clearly overlooked. --- You should be recognized all the time!

In substance use treatment, progress doesn’t always look dramatic. Sometimes progress just means turning in paperwork on time, or checking voicemail for a housing call. At Stella Maris, our social workers operate on the border of clinical care and real life. Some help clients navigate court dates, child services, and employment gaps. Others help clients solve transportation barriers, housing applications, and doctor’s instructions.

Happy belated World Social Work day to all that assist in the daily logistics of life in recovery.

Members of the Stella team were welcomed with a wall of etch-a-sketches when they toured JACK Cleveland Casino last week. The property tour was just one of many being held in conjunction with Problem Gambling Awareness Month and Problem Gambling Network of Ohio . The Casino partners with organizations like Stella to help when *entertainment gaming* turns into *problem gambling*. Calls to Ohio's Problem Gambling Helpline increased 55% after the legalization of sports betting.

We supply all the materials and instruction; you supply the creativity. Events in this series are offered at no charge, but pre-registration is required.
