⏱️ Should students have an hour of recess every day?

A new proposal supported by Ohio leaders would expand recess requirements so students could receive two 30-minute recess periods per day, extending playtime requirements from kindergarten through 8th grade.

Supporters say more recess can help students get physical activity, socialize, and return to the classroom more focused. Others are questioning whether a full hour every day is realistic for school schedules that already include academics, specials, and other requirements.

The Cleveland Guardians Going to Bat for Small Business Program, presented by PNC Bank, is officially in the dugout stage — and judging is underway.

Last year, Wraparound Experts and CEO Colleen Morris were honored as the July winners of the program. This year, Colleen returned as part of the judging panel, joining fellow past winners to review applications from an incredible group of small business contestants.

So many inspiring stories, strong businesses, and dedicated leaders in our community. We’re grateful to be part of a program that celebrates and supports local entrepreneurship.
