National Wear Red Day 2026 is Friday, February 6, urging everyone to wear red to raise awareness that cardiovascular disease is the leading killer of women. Part of American Heart Month, this Go Red for Women movement encourages action to protect heart health, as nearly 45% of women over age 20 live with cardiovascular disease.

Hi my name is Ashley and I was born with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy(heart disease) I have been on more medication than you could imagine since the age of 12, and surgeries well I won't even try to give you a number. July 28,2020 I had a heart transplant right during the pandemic. Even though I couldn't see my family in- person nor have any visitors Jehovah was right there with me threw it all. Today i am 40 years young and still pushing a mother, wife, health care professional and entrepreneur. Ladies this is your wake up call just because you workout, eat healthy doesn't mean you get away scott free, get yearly check ups, listen to your body if something doesn't feel right let your doctor know, if they don't listen get a second opinion a third or fourth if need be. HAPPY HEART MONTH ❤️!!!
