Rashawn Antonio Smith, affectionately known as "Tony," was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on December 12, 1970, to the late Charles Anthony Smith and Karen Alletha Smith. Tony graduated from Shaw High School and soon after enlisted in the United States Navy, where he faithfully served two terms.
