This past week we had the privilege of honoring the graduation of our senior residents:

Dr. Deepali Darji, DPM

Dr. Heong min (Andrew) Kim, DPM

Dr. Lauren Schnack, DPM

We are deeply proud of their unmeasurable commitment towards excellence over the past 3 years of training. The countless personal and professional accomplishments of our graduating physicians in this short time serve not only as a reflection of their unparalleled training, but also as a testament to the spirit and dedication that these 3 individuals possess.

As our graduates begin the next chapter of their careers, we owe them an immense gratitude and wish them the best of luck in their next endeavors, as we know you will continue to spread the mission of St Vincent Charity Medical Center.

A hearty congratulations is in order for one of our graduating residents, Dr. Deepali Darji, on being awarded FIRST PLACE at the 2021 Gerard V. Yu, DPM Residency Scientific Paper Competition held today at the 105th Annual Ohio Foot and Ankle Scientific Seminar in Columbus, OH!

This competition is held in the name of our late Dr. Yu, who embodied the highest standards and principles of both professional and personal conduct while achieving the highest standards of medical and surgical proficiency, with an ongoing and continual dedication to excellence. It serves as a platform for current residents to showcase their talent and hard work over the past few years on the big stage.

The winner of this competition is someone who resembles these traits, and we couldn’t be more proud to have one of our residents bring the trophy home.

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Darji on this momentous accomplishment!

After a rollercoaster ride of a year, the St. Vincent Charity Medical Center Podiatry team is thankful for a light at the end of 2020. We are grateful for all of the scientists, researchers, and doctors that worked tirelessly to make this a reality for us.

As frontline health care workers, we took an oath to do what we can to be "ever vigilant in aiding in the general welfare of the community". 2020 has certainly tested the strength of our oath.

We got the vaccine not to only protect ourselves, but to protect our loved ones, patients, and community. We will do whatever it takes today to achieve a better future tomorrow.

We hope that 2021 brings us a brighter future. Everyone's situation is different, so please consult with your primary care physician for any question. COVID vaccine doesn't replace the necessary medical hygiene such as routine washing of hands
