NCCH hosted the PROPS Red Carpet Awards dinner at the Aviator Event Venue on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. This event allowed us to highlight and recognize those influencers among our partners who positively support our work to provide quality housing and supportive resources to our residents. PROPS | Positive Recognition Of Partner Support were given in four categories. Our 2025 award winners included:
Heart & Home Award - Rose-Mary and our Highland Road
Mission Ally Award - Clips Construction
Collaborative Impact Award - Alpha Phi Alpha/Delta Alpha Lambda Foundation Food Pantry
2025 Impact Award - NCCH Markley house and the provider team from Echoing Hills of Northern Ohio

Neil Gavin, Chairperson of the NCCH Board of Trustees, was recently recognized as a 2025 Smart Business Pillar Award honoree in the category of Nonprofit Board Executive of the Year. Neil has served on the NCCH Board of Trustees since 2016, and was honored to be named President of the Board of Trustees in 2025. Congratulations Neil!

North Coast Community Homes supports the efforts of Summit County Continuum of Care(CoC) Program and the communitywide commitment to the goal of ending homelessness. Supplies are still needed to fill 100 hygiene bags that provide necessary items for those experiencing homelessness during the winter.

Make A Difference Day, the largest national day of community service in the United States, was celebrated on Saturday, October 25. University of Akron student volunteers made a difference in the lives of our Akron NCCH residents. The students demonstrated their creativity and helped residents to make a mosaic candle holder or vase plus served breakfast throughout the activities.
