Lake Effect Free Alternative Health Clinic A Free Clinic providing alternative and holistic health services to folks in the Cleveland, OH area LGBTQ Clinic on the First Thursday of the month, 5-8 PM!

Free, Holistic Health Services and Consultations, on the First Wednesday of Every Month, 7-9 PM! We opened the Lake Effect clinic to make holistic, alternative, and complementary therapies more available and accessible in Cleveland. We offer herbal health consultations, reiki, and foot care, and hope to offer massage, acupuncture, and chiropractic services in the future. These therapies can play a role in a gamut of common health problems, and offer tools to for people to understand and manage their own health challenges. The values and beliefs behind the Lake Effect Clinic are accessibility, client-centered health care, harm reduction and relationships of equality. We know that people can make the best decisions about their own health, given that they are given sufficient access to information; therefore, we collaborate with clients to develop a health plan, and then see what assistance we can offer them to implement their plan. Our volunteer staff strive towards non-hierarchical relations both with clients and each other.

Now that spring is with us the team at Lake Effect Free Alternative Health Clinic has decided to announce the closing out of its eight year project of providing free herbal consultations, massage, reiki, reflexology, foot baths, art therapy rooted in radical hospitality to community members in Northeast Ohio.

We are especially grateful to our longstanding community partners: The Catholic Worker on Lorain and the LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland.

Please join us later this year for a public gathering and celebration.

As we enter 2019, the team at Lake Effect has decided that it is time to take a hiatus. After eight years of providing free herbal consultations, massage, reiki, reflexology, foot baths, art therapy rooted in radical hospitality to community members at the Catholic Worker on Lorain Avenue, the LGBT Community Center on Detroit Avenue and beyond, we believe it is important to take a moment to reflect and decide what is our best way forward and what it can look like as the landscape and times continue to change in our city.

We thank our supporters for joining us this far and we look forward to sharing what we discover in Spring of 2019.
