Why It Works Wednesday

Your physical therapist teaches pacing to balance activity and rest when pain or fatigue flares. This approach helps some people stay active without worsening symptoms.
✅ Tip: Doing less at the right time can help long-term progress.

If you are dealing with persistent aches, recovering from an injury, or trying to stay strong as you age, vitamin D might come up in conversation. Many people think of it as an “immune vitamin” or something related only to bone health.

Your physical therapist adapts movement to support comfort and function when swelling or stiffness is present. Gentle movement may help some people tolerate daily tasks better.
✅ Tip: Small movements can still be meaningful.

Why It Works Wednesday

Your physical therapist builds care plans around symptoms, functional limits, and recovery goals. This helps ensure recommendations fit the individual, not a one-size-fits-all routine.
✅ Tip: As symptoms improve, some people later transition into general fitness programs.

Shoulder pain can sneak up on you slowly or hit you all at once. One day it might be a dull ache when you reach overhead. The next day, it’s sharp pain when you try to lift groceries, sleep on your side, or get dressed. When that happens, most people start looking for answers—and fast.

Our Story

We are a small, privately owned and operated physical therapy clinic that strives to achieve the best results for our patients. We are dedicated to treating our patients with compassion while also providing highly skilled and knowledgeable rehabilitation. We have over 65 years of experience in a variety of settings and patient populations. Patients can expect to receive one on one care with a “hands-on approach” to their treatment. Treatment sessions will consist of a thorough evaluation, an individualized plan of care, goal-specific treatment, continuity of care and a personalized home exercise program to continue with after discharge. We want to help improve the quality of life for all of our patients, whether that means relieving pain, increasing strength/endurance, improving function or enhancing athletic performance. We will work with you to design the optimal treatment plan for you.

We have been in business since 2009 and are honored to be the only locally owned PT practice in town. We are able to offer a very personal experience for patients and therefore seem to have a high satisfaction rate with patients. We believe that “PT” stands for “Personal Touch” and believe you will understand what that means if you give us a try. We accept most major insurances and can accept orders/prescriptions from most medical personnel. We are here to answer any questions you may have and want you to know that you have a choice in who provides your therapy services. Should the need for therapy arise, we hope you will choose Advanced Physical Therapy and “Experience the Difference!”
