Every day something new emerges in Angie’s Garden.

In addition to the purple crocuses, yellow and white ones are now joining the chorus. With little blue muscari (Muscari armenincum) showing off their sweetness, and the hyacinth (Hyacinth ‘Peter Stuyvesant’) heads hinting at what’s ahead!

The garden is growing so fast, you can practically sit and watch the plants grow and flowers bloom!

If you need a break, come on up and out to the rooftop!

While there’s still a couple weeks till Spring officially begins, today our first crocuses bloomed in Angie’s Garden! Spring is sprung!

We are open till 7 pm today, come catch some rays of sun!

While it may be snowing outside today, the rooftop is always open for patients, families and caregivers to take a break and take in some of Nature's beauty!

This week we highlight our Holiday Cactus which exploded in gorgeous pink and white blooms over the weekend! Holiday Cactus (Schlumbergera) is natively found in the coastal mountains of south eastern Brazil, and blooms at this time of year, giving it its name. Come see it while its blooms last!

The Horticultural Therapy Suite (indoor) & Angie's Garden (outdoor) is open*:
M, T, W & F from 10 am - 7 pm
Th 10 am - 4 pm
S & Sun 10 am - 6 pm

The Sky Lounge (indoors) is open all hours of the day for a nice place to relax within the hospital.

*Hours may vary depending on staffing schedules, and while the lounge is always open, feel free to call up to the rooftop if you want access to outside, or to the HT Suite.

What's blooming in Angie's Garden this week?

This week we want to highlight the glorious Sunflower (Helianthus)! Angie's Garden very well may have the tallest sunflowers in the city, especially considering that we are already 9 floors up! ;) They are such a lovely flower that humble us with their height, and make a great spot for the butterflies, bumble bees, and goldfinches to perch for a refreshing moment.

Come by and see them in their full glory!

Garden Hours currently are:
Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday - 10 am - 6:30 pm
Thursday & Friday - 10 am - 4:30 pm

On the weekend, or during other hours, please ask a staff member to page Family and Child Life Services at 31130 to facilitate a visit to the garden between 9 am and 4 pm on weekends. Kline Sky Lounge will be open to relax and enjoy the views of the garden, but the outdoor garden areas will only be open during the hours noted above.

To get to Angie's Garden & Kline Sky Lounge, please ask a staff member to swipe you into the Angie's Garden elevator and press "R" to get to the rooftop.
