One of the biggest concerns patients have about getting a tummy tuck is the scar that will be left after the procedure. When I recommend treatments, I like to experience them myself, and this one is always worth it! Here’s my Halo laser journey from day one to day 31. The redness looks intense at first, but it fades so quickly, and it’s really cool to watch the skin calm and heal over time.

Drainless tummy tucks are very trendy right now, but do you know the risks involved? I use drains in my abdominoplasties because they reduce the chance of complications and aid in the healing process. Can they sometimes be annoying for patients to deal with? Definitely! But the inconvenience of tending to the drains is far more worthwhile than the chance of fluid building up in your abdomen.

In this patient’s before photos, you can clearly see the asymmetry caused by a deflated left saline implant. Wanting to fix this issue while also keeping the volume she loves, we decided to do an implant exchange. Implant exchanges are a powerful option for patients who want to replace older or damaged implants with new ones to restore shape, fullness, and balance.

By switching to 450cc saline implants, we were able to give her the look she wanted with beautiful, even symmetry. Her after results show her standing taller with a renewed sense of confidence!

🌟Lower eyelid Transformation🌟 Reversing the tired look with a hidden incision

Lower eyelid bags age our appearance and make us look tired. They often worsen over time or can become more noticeable after weight loss or after periods of stress. Luckily, there’s a nice easy surgical procedure that can correct them permanently.

When there is just too much lower eyelid fat, without significant skin or muscle droopiness or excess, the correction can be done with an incision that’s hidden on the inside of the eyelid. This is called a transconjunctival incision. The conjunctiva is the lining on the inside of the eyelid. If there’s extra skin or muscle in the lower eyelid, then an incision, maybe necessary under the lashes as well. This incision, if necessary, is still very hard to see and essentially hidden under the lashes.

In this patient, she only had extra lower eyelid fat. In order to improve her look I performed a lower eyelid lift using a transconjunctival incision with removal of the excess fat, release of the attachments, and micro fat grafting to soften the transition to the cheeks. There is no visible scar.

She is seen 3 months after surgery and is delighted with her results. She looks very natural and much more refreshed. If you’re interested in this procedure don’t hesitate, call today to learn what is possible.

As a native of northeast Ohio, Dr. Leedy graduated as valedictorian from Walsh Jesuit High School before attending Cornell University, an Ivy League institution, where he earned academic distinction as a double major in chemistry and economics. He then enrolled in Case Western Reserve School of Medicine and earned induction into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society, a distinction for only the top of the graduating medical school class. Dr. Leedy was then one of 3 of 250 highly qualified plastic surgery residency applicants to be accepted into the Integrated Plastic Surgery residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, regarded as one of the most prestigious plastic surgery training programs in the country. Dr. Leedy completed his training in 2005 and returned to northeast Ohio where he has established himself as one of the leading plastic surgeons in his region.

Dr. Leedy is an educator, having published articles in the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Journal and having presented his research at national plastic surgery meetings. He is an innovator, always looking to improve plastic surgery and holds multiple patents for a breast implant sizing device that he designed, that allows patients to “test drive” their look before undergoing breast augmentation. Dr. Leedy is also Chief of Plastic Surgery at Marymount Hospital, a Cleveland Clinic hospital, and has privileges are many of the area hospitals.
