Heavy snow is expected across White County and surrounding areas.

• Snow totals of 2–4 inches, with locally higher amounts possible
• Wind gusts up to 35 mph
• Wind chills ranging from below zero to the single digits

🚧 Impacts
Roads — especially bridges and overpasses — will become slick and hazardous. Blowing snow and reduced visibility could make travel very difficult to impossible.

🛑 Safety Message
Residents are strongly urged to stay indoors until conditions improve. If you must go outside, dress in layers and cover exposed skin to reduce the risk of frostbite or hypothermia.

⚠️ WINTER STORM WATCH ⚠️ Friday Evening – Sunday Morning

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for portions of north Georgia, including our area.

❄️ What to Expect:
• Heavy snow is possible
• Wind gusts could reach 35 mph
• Hazardous road conditions are likely

🥶 Dangerous Cold:
Wind chills are expected to drop to 5° below zero to the low teens on Saturday, and 10° below zero to single digits Saturday night into Sunday morning.

🧤 Be Prepared:
Plan ahead, limit travel if possible, and take steps now to protect your home, pets, and family from extreme cold.

White County Public Safety will continue monitoring conditions and will share updates as more information becomes available.
