FrontLine Service

FrontLine Service Cleveland, Ohio's premier homeless and trauma services organization.

Since its inception in 1988, FrontLine Service, formerly MHS, has been in the forefront of providing services to our community's most vulnerable individuals. A non-profit, behavioral health agency, FrontLine Service operates the largest continuum of services to homeless individuals in the state of Ohio, providing shelter, transitional, and permanent housing services. FrontLine Service is proud to collaborate with community partners in the expansion of Housing First programs in Cuyahoga County, and most recently, rapid-rehousing and diversion efforts. FrontLine Service operates the Suicide Hotline and the Adult and Child Psychiatric Mobile Crisis team, providing services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Outreach efforts to individuals experiencing trauma include the Children Who Witness Violence program and the Traumatic Loss Response team. FrontLine Service is a contract agency of the The Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board of Cuyahoga County and a United Way Agency.

FrontLine Service needs your help!

County Executive Chris Ronayne’s proposed 2026–2027 budget eliminates funding for our North Point Transitional Housing program and includes $4 million in 2026 and $4.5 million in 2027 in cuts to the ADAMHS Board, resulting in a $1 million loss to FrontLine’s crisis response programs—the teams that answer the call 24/7 when residents are in crisis.

These cuts will directly reduce the safety net for the most vulnerable in our community—adults and young adults experiencing homelessness, individuals in mental health crisis, and families coping with trauma.

FrontLine staff attended the county council meeting last week and gave public comment, urging them to restore FrontLine’s funding.

THE TIME IS NOW. County Biennial Budget amendments will be approved by November 17 with final budget approval on December 9. We need your help doing the following:

Contact your county councilmember no later than November 17 to urge them to reject the proposed cuts and restore full funding for North Point and the ADAMHS board. To find your county councilmember—visit https://gis.cuyahogacounty.us/portal/apps/instant/lookup/index.html?appid=468d487b344c4e00857591713840aa2e

Have a new or gently used winter coat or two hanging around? Maybe it's been outgrown or just not your style anymore? Check the back of your closets and consider making a contribution to Geiger's Winter Coat Drive. We're always grateful to partner with them to provide warm winterwear for the families we serve.

Our Winter Coat Drive continues through November 9! Receive a $10 voucher towards a purchase for each coat donated, while helping community members in need.

This campaign benefits FrontLine Service, a non-profit organization that reaches out to adults and children in Northeast Ohio to end homelessness, prevent su***de, resolve behavioral health crises and overcome trauma.

This is an in-store only event. 5 coat limit per customer. Vouchers will be given upon donation and must be presented at time of purchase. Vouchers can be used immediately or by December 1, 2025. Some restrictions apply; see store for complete details.
