Wear your CROWNs with pride 👑🎓
Being a woman means being questioned at every stage— but no matter how hard you try, society is never fully satisfied. So I choose my own terms, no regrets, only growth. I wear my CROWNs with pride. ✨ Unstoppable. 💃

Back in our undergrad days, attending ARVO outside India felt like an impossible dream. We’d look up to those who made it there and think, ‘That’s like trying to catch the moon while standing on Earth.’ But with each milestone and every hurdle we crossed, that dream slowly started to feel a bit more real — though still hard to believe.

We never gave up. We kept working, driven by our passion. And one day, that shared dream came true: Ani attended and presented at his first ARVO this year (with 100% travel grant sponsored), and I made it to mine the previous year. We both did it! 😀

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey.

After your dad, I am—and always will be—your loudest cheerleader.
A proud wifey.

I’m thrilled to have taken my first steps after graduating.

I’ve always believed in taking baby steps towards my goals. Every small achievement brings me closer to my dreams. And I’ve learned that everyone’s journey is unique—we all have different strengths and visualisations, but as long as we believe in ourselves, the end goal is eventually reachable.

To anyone chasing their dreams, I want to say that anything is achievable if you put in the hard work and dedication. Don’t be afraid to take those baby steps—they’ll add up to giant leaps in the long run!

I remember how we used to have our Squint Meet every Friday at Sankara Nethralaya (Chennai, India). We always looked forward to them for two reasons:

1. We got to learn something new every week beyond our day-to-day clinical work, OPD and patient case findings — whether it was a new treatment technique, a check-up regimen, or learning from experiences of pioneers in the field! 🤓🧐👩‍⚕️!

2. And of course… it was Friday evening! If you were in the squint meeting, it meant you were going home right after — the perfect start to the weekend 😂!

Now, at the Cleveland Clinic Cole Eye Institute, we have Ophthalmic Research Departmental meetings every Friday at 11:00 AM — and I look forward to them with the same eagerness and craving to learn. And I do learn!

Today, my colleague Ibrahim presented on “Advanced Binocular Amblyopia Treatments Using Eye Tracking Technologies” — and it was absolutely LIT! 🔥👏

I’m genuinely grateful — to my passion, my work, my patients, my mentors, my colleagues, and to myself — for keeping me grounded and always hungry to learn & grow.

Learning never ends. And it shouldn’t. Being too comfortable is boring for me — and honestly, I love that about myself.🫶🏼

Keep learning, keep growing.
Here’s a sneak peek of the seminar hall (before it gets crowded 😉😃)! Happy Friyay!

Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; and working together towards our goal is success. We believe success is defined by the journey, not just the end goal. It’s the journey that stays with you, that shapes you, and that gives you a story worth sharing. The goal brings momentary happiness, but the journey stays with you forever. 🧑🏻‍🎓👩🏻‍🎓 ❤️
