Before Pilates went viral, a pioneering innovator quietly shaped the equipment we still use today...

Among these pioneers was Jean-Claude West. Fascinated by the complexities of motor control, he began designing equipment in the 1980s to help dancers recover from injury and refine movement patterns. His innovations would go on to influence both dance medicine and Pilates rehabilitation for decades to come.

We are Relocating! On Monday, April 6, 2026 - Root Cause will begin seeing patients 1.2 miles from our current Harrison office, in West Harrison, Indiana. All Root Cause practitioners will be under one roof at 111 N. State Street, West Harrison, IN 47060.
