Today is , so here's a friendly reminder: don’t forget to floss!

While your toothbrush cleans the surface of your teeth, floss gets between your teeth and under your gums, where germs and bacteria hide. 🦷 A quick minute of flossing each day helps stop cavities and gum problems, an essential step after enjoying all those Thanksgiving treats! It's a small, yet mighty step that protects your long-term dental health.

With the holidays coming, the table is often packed with lots of rich foods. If you’re looking for a simple swap that will keep your mouth a little happier, try this: switch out candies that are sticky or super crunchy for snacks like apples, pumpkin seeds, sweet potatoes, and carrots.

🍎 These foods help to keep your teeth clean by encouraging saliva production and gently brushing away germs.

Both traditional string floss and water flossers are great for cleaning away food and plaque, and choosing the right one can help you stick with it!

🦷 The most important thing is to floss every day, but here are the main differences between the two: String floss does a good job of scraping along the sides of your teeth and under the gums. On the other hand, water flossers are gentle on your gums and great for cleaning around braces, bridges, or other dental work.

Find the method that fits into your routine best and if you have any questions, talk to your dentist or dental hygienist.
