was incorporated in October of 2010 to provide quality and meaningful services for people with developmental disabilities, enriching their lives and the lives of their families. At LifeSong Inc., we have a team of highly qualified, trained professional staff that share LifeSong’s Mission and Vision and endeavor to move forward with united purpose. that we invest in our local communities and serve others as active members of society. Healthy living is central to programming. Learning to make healthy choices can make a person feel inspired and has benefit to the whole body. Encouraging communication is a key to a pleasant environment. We maintain a high standard for establishing respectful, positive communication. Friendships are important in life to establish meaningful relationships. At LifeSong Inc., we value the relationship we have with our staff, participants, and all we serve; we consider them family.

We want to celebrate our Day Hab Manager, tech guru, Bro Bowl groundskeeper, DJ, fire fighter, bagpiper and all around swell dude - Mark Hines! It's his birthday today! So raise a glass and sing Happy Birthday however you want (We suggest super fast because the morning meeting is running long as it is!)! You're the best, Mark! Enjoy your day!

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE! We haven't done one of these in a while, so here's our Outer Banks space, which used to be a walled-off area leading to Nurse Sue and the Clinical office. Here's what it looked like during our last team meeting - a meeting where everyone is in the same room! Things are just about finished. When they are, we'll post a "grand tour" for everyone to see!

Each year, we send a survey to all our Dash runners/walkers so they can share their opinion of the event. Not surprisingly, nearly everyone commented that the rain was their least favorite part of the day. But there were some neat stats we wanted to share:

*Despite the heavy rain, a little more than a third of those who responded ran the Dash for the first time, with equal percentages of people attending for 2, 3, 4 or 5 or more times!
*100 % said the Dash was either "Excellent" or "Good".
*100% said they would recommend the Dash to a friend (There is a referral program where runners get discounts for doing that, by the way!)
