Your body doesn’t work against you it communicates with you.

Through tension.
Through fatigue.
Through small, recurring symptoms that don’t fully go away.

Very often, these signs are connected to how your nervous system, circulation, and internal processes are functioning.

Acupuncture works by stimulating specific points that interact with the nervous system, helping regulate pain, stress response, and overall body balance

It may also support circulation and reduce inflammation, which plays a role in many chronic conditions

In this post, we’ve shared 5 common signals we see in patients before they start treatment.

Not every symptom needs to be ignored. Sometimes it’s your body asking for support - early.

If you’ve been feeling “not quite right” lately, it might be worth paying attention to that. 🌿

Continued education is a big part of what we do.

Because in this field, it’s not enough to know the basics - the body is complex, and every patient is different.

I recently completed the Zheng Gu Tui Na program with Tom Bisio - an advanced level of Chinese medical massage that focuses not only on muscles, but also on structure, joints, and deeper imbalances in the body.

This approach helps look beyond the surface of pain and understand where it actually comes from. And that changes the way we treat.

For you, it means more precise work, a deeper understanding of your body, and more effective results over time.

I truly believe that the more we learn, the better we can support you. And that’s something I continue to invest in - for every patient who walks through our doors. 🌿

Sometimes people come to us because something hurts. And sometimes they come after weeks (or months) of pushing their body to the limit.

Like in this review - after intense marathon training, the body wasn’t just tired, it needed real support.

What matters most to us is not only relieving pain, but understanding what your body is going through in that moment. That’s why every session is personalized - we adjust, we listen, we support.

And sometimes, it’s not only about physical tension. It’s also about stress, pressure, and everything your body holds inside.

We’re truly grateful for feedback like this - because it reflects what we aim to do every day.

If your body has been asking for attention lately, maybe it’s time to give it that care. 🌿

Acupuncture has been practiced for thousands of years, yet many people still aren’t sure what to expect from it.

Some think it’s painful.
Others believe it’s only used for pain relief.
And some assume it only works if you “believe” in it.

In reality, acupuncture is a gentle therapy that works with the body’s natural systems - supporting circulation, the nervous system, and the body’s ability to restore balance.

Today we’re sharing a few common myths we often hear from patients - and the truth behind them.

At Pulse Acupuncture, we look at the body as a whole.
Not just one symptom. Not just one area.

Our goal is simple — to help your body restore balance so it can function the way it’s meant to.

People come to Pulse for support with many different concerns, including:
• stress and anxiety
• chronic pain (neck, back, shoulders, joints)
• tendonitis and sports injuries
• digestive issues
• hormonal imbalance
• menopause symptoms
• fertility support
• fatigue and low energy
• cosmetic acupuncture and skin health

To support deeper healing, we often combine acupuncture with complementary therapies such as Tui Na massage, red light therapy, and Onnetsu heat therapy.

Because when the whole system is supported, the body can recover more naturally. 🌿

Cosmetic Acupuncture isn’t about changing your face.
It’s about supporting your skin the way your body was designed to function — from the inside out.

At Pulse Acupuncture, each treatment is more than just placing needles on the face. A session typically includes a full body assessment, body acupuncture points to support internal balance, gentle facial acupuncture, and often additional therapies that enhance circulation and collagen stimulation. It’s a comprehensive approach, not a quick fix.

By improving blood flow and supporting your body’s natural repair processes, cosmetic acupuncture helps:
• soften the look of fine lines
• improve skin tone and elasticity
• reduce puffiness
• bring back a healthy, rested glow

Most clients begin with a series of treatments (often 8–12 sessions) to build visible, lasting results, followed by maintenance sessions as needed. Skin health is a process — and we guide you through it thoughtfully.

If you’re looking for a natural way to support your skin while also benefiting your overall well-being, this might be exactly what you’ve been searching for.

Have you ever considered a more holistic approach to skincare? 🌿

Spring in Traditional Chinese Medicine isn’t just about warmer weather — it’s about movement.

In TCM, this season is connected to the Liver system, which supports the smooth flow of energy, emotions, and circulation throughout the body. After winter, it’s common to feel tight, sluggish, irritable, or low on motivation. That’s not random — it’s seasonal transition.

To support your body this spring:
🌿 Move gently before intense workouts
🌿 Add fresh greens and light foods to your meals
🌿 Spend more time outside
🌿 Stretch and breathe to release stored tension

Spring is about opening — physically and emotionally. When we support that natural shift, the body responds with more clarity, better digestion, improved mood, and steadier energy.

If you’re feeling “stuck” this season, acupuncture and bodywork can help restore flow and balance.

Let your body move the way spring intends it to. 🌱

Can acupuncture help with weight loss?

Yes — but not in the way most people think.

Acupuncture doesn’t “burn fat.” What it does is support the systems that influence weight: stress levels, digestion, hormones, metabolism, and nervous system balance.

When stress decreases and digestion improves, cravings often become more manageable, energy feels steadier, and your body responds better to healthy habits.

It’s not a quick fix.
It’s support for long-term change.

If you’re working on your weight and want a more balanced, whole-body approach — we’re here to guide you. 🌿

Fire Cupping isn’t just a trend you see on athletes’ backs — it’s a time-tested technique used to help the body recover and move better. 🔥

By creating gentle suction with glass cups, we stimulate circulation in targeted areas. This can help decrease muscle tightness, improve mobility, and support the body’s natural healing process.

I often integrate cupping into a larger treatment plan — especially alongside acupuncture. When combined, they can enhance circulation, calm inflammation, and help the nervous system shift out of tension mode.

Many patients come in with chronic stiffness, old injuries, or muscle fatigue that just won’t fully resolve. Cupping helps bring fresh blood flow to those areas, which may support faster recovery and pain relief.

Before any session, we always review your health history to make sure it’s the right fit for you.

If your body feels tight, overworked, or stuck — this could be a powerful addition to your care plan.

Onnetsu Therapy is a form of infrared heat therapy we use at Pulse to support circulation, relax muscles, and help your body work more efficiently — from the inside out.

Using controlled far-infrared and near-infrared light, this treatment:
✔ increases blood flow
✔ supports deeper tissue function
✔ improves cellular energy production
✔ helps the body recover from tension and fatigue

When applied after a treatment, red light benefits the entire body, because light-stimulated cells help neighboring cells function better — and even blood cells absorb the light and carry those benefits throughout your system.

It’s a gentle, holistic way to support healing — not just warmth on the surface.

In acupuncture, we don’t chase symptoms — we follow pathways.

These pathways are called meridians.
They connect organs, muscles, nerves, and systems throughout the body.

When the flow along a meridian is smooth — you feel good.
When it’s blocked — the body starts sending signals:
pain, tension, fatigue, stress, digestive issues, sleep problems.

Acupuncture works by stimulating specific points along these pathways to:

• improve circulation
• calm the nervous system
• release muscular tension
• support organ function
• restore balance

It’s not magic.
It’s restoring communication inside your body.

When the flow returns — healing begins naturally.
