Taking Care of Your Feet at 50+
According to the Mayo Clinic, the average American walks 3,000 to 4,000 steps daily, or roughly 1.5 to 2 miles. Multiply 2 miles a day by 365 days in a year, and that is 730 miles walked in a year. Multiply that number by 50, and you can safely say we have probably walked over 35,000 miles, not necessarily in the most supportive shoes.
